At Lake Town Academy, we are committed to fostering a learning environment where each child is valued as an individual and encouraged to grow at their own pace. As a PreK–8th grade alternative school, we provide a well-rounded educational program that includes instruction in all core academic subjects—English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and history—along with enrichment in creative arts, character development, outdoor education, and other impactful, hands-on learning experiences.
Our educational approach emphasizes experiential, project-based learning designed to cultivate curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a strong academic foundation. Rooted in faith-based beliefs, we seek to nurture the whole child by supporting academic, spiritual, emotional, and social growth in a developmentally appropriate and supportive environment.
At Lake Town Academy, we believe learning is a process, not a race. Rather than relying on traditional grading systems, we focus on formative assessment, individualized progress monitoring, and meaningful learning experiences that build confidence and foster a lifelong love of learning. By emphasizing mastery, reflection, and growth, students are encouraged to take ownership of their education while developing resilience, self-motivation, and a sense of accomplishment.
We recognize that every student is unique. Our small class sizes and individualized instruction allow us to meet students where they are academically while providing the structure and support needed to grow in core subject areas. Through integrated instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies—combined with project-based learning, outdoor exploration, creative arts, and community involvement—we equip students with the tools they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Statement of Beliefs
We believe the Bible to be the Holy, inspired word of God.
We believe the Bible to be the standard of truth to which We measure our lives.
We believe in the Holy trinity; God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that we are created in the image of God, designed for fellowship with God both now and for eternity.
We believe that we are sinners in a sinful world and that apart from a true salvation experience through Jesus Christ we will be separated from God for eternity.

Our Stance on Social Issues
We believe that God has perfectly created us in his image in two genders male and female.
We believe that the sexual union between a man and woman was designed for the institution of marriage and will present students with a standard of abstinence until marriage.
We believe that medical decisions regarding vaccinations, masks and all other medical interventions are at the discretion of the parent.
